Default What do I do with my second account that I don't need?

What are my options for my second account I have? Unfortunately, I purchased a second copy of Factions in order to have more characters and then the character slots came out a few months later. I never use this account except for storing random materials but I don't really need it. I have 11 character slots on my primary account that has Proph/Factions and NF. I feel like this account is a waste now.

Is there a way I could give it to a guild member that only has Prophecies and could they link it to their account if I did or would it forever remain independent of another pre-existing account?

I've asked some of my real life friends if they want it and they aren't interested in my "twisted fantasy" world.

Any suggestions? What is considered ok and not ok?

You cannot merge an existing account with another, it just isn't possible.

Your best bet is to give it to a friend that doesn't have an account now.

Give it to someone. They can buy Prophecies or Nightfall and link them. I have seen this in my guild a lot. Many of our players bought multiple copies for the extra slots and now they just set in the bottom of our guild roster as "Last on - 3 months" Surely you know SOMEONE who would enjoy it.

You could save the account in hopes of getting a rare pet or two next year, but otherwise just give it to someone who is looking for a Factions account.

Run a competition on here, winner gets the account. It's been done before and the mods/admin allowed it.

I think I'll ask some guild members if they have any friends I can give the account to who want to give guildwars a try. If they don't I'll come back here and see what is the proper way to give it away to someone.

I'm still fuzzy on whether it's ok to give it away like another poster mentioned. It seems like a real waste if you can't give the account away.

Mule it, thats what I did.

You can also check with your local law enforcement. My state, Utah, has people playing MMOs as part of the child protection.

Selling accounts for either real world money or in-game money violates the eula and can result in all connected parties' accounts being closed.

You need to read this: http://www.guildwars.com/support/leg...-agreement.php

Selling an account in game will breach code of conduct and will result in termination of the account, so it's important when giving advice on these forums that you know your stuff, as it may one day cause someone to get into unwanted trouble...

To answer one question, the extra Factions could not be linked to an existing account. New accounts could be linked to it. So if the person you gave it to then bought Prophecies or Nightfall, they would be able to link the new one.

Perhaps if you PM one of this forum's moderators, they would be able to tell you if a registered account can be GIVEN to another person without violating your Terms of Agreement. If the answer is yes, then you might want to hold a contest in your guild for it.
